Sleep deprivation on.. Anxiety and Depression


If you’re feeling flat, anxious or a horrid combination of both, lack of sleep may be the cause.

Even after just one night of inadequate sleep; Academic journal Sleep found stress hormone cortisol heightens by 37% - and it rises by 45% after 2 nights.
As a result, you are likely to feel tense, unable to switch off, and overwhelmed.

Long term, this becomes a bigger issue: Depression is 10 times more likely, and anxiety disorders are 17 times more likely -
as noted in by a 2005 paper by the University of North Texas.

This is not ok - nor is it something you should have to ‘put up’ with.
